my almost 13 year old son and friends

my son has lost so many of his friends and cry's because there is no one to hang out with, I do not know how to help him make things better, we had to change his school because they were not able to deal with the outbursts he now goes to a school that is a treatment center as well as school. I have no magic wand to wave to make things better but would love some ideals on things that might help him with friends
