Hi everyone. My 14 year old daughter was diagnosed with bipolar about a month ago. She was hospitalized for two weeks because of a psychotic episode where she became physically violent. She's been home for two weeks and is currently in another episode. I can't even begin to imagine what she is going through but at the same time, my entire family is in disarray. I can't even describe how vile she is towards me. It's literally constant abuse in my own home every second of the waking day. She's currently sleeping even though it's mid day, but on her way to her room she said to me that she will dream about my death. As hard as it is to hear I feel like I can handle it. Unfortunately, I have two other children in the house and she is terrifying my ten year old. She's on lamectil and abilify but I haven't noticed any positive effects yet.

Can someone give me any advice or even try to shed some light on what is going through her mind when she speaks this way? I've been called every name under the sun today and I'm emotionally drained at the moment. I feel like I just need a little pick-me-up.
