I am still not 100% sure if I really am BP or not or if I accept it if I am. . . I have posted a few things here and I really feel like you guys have helped me these last few days and I wanna give something back.

I'm still a little messed up - but I do have a list of things that make me feel strong. If I do at least one of these things - no matter how much I don't wanna - I feel a little stronger. I may not feel happier - but I feel stonger.

1. Get up on time

2. Get to work on time

3. Go to the gym

4. Go for a walk out side

5. Talk to a friend about nothing

6. Paint

7. Make some music

8. Eat something healthy - like an apple - for some reason that really makes me feel nice

9. Go the day without a smoke

10. Go the day without a drink

Maybe this can help. . . Maybe you guys can list some of the stuff that make you feel stronger too.

Thanks for letting me share and thanks for welcoming me here.

~Ally

This is a good post...I love positive things:

1. I feel stronger when the dishes are clean.

2. I sit down and can relax without jumping up and doing something

every five minutes.

3. I said something to make someone feel better.

4. I go another day without drinking alcohol.

5. I take a shower and shave my legs and the bottom of the tub

doesn't look like the bathroom scene in Psycho.

6. Go to sleep with positive thoughts, and say my prayers each night

7. Go to work each day, even when I don't feel like

going.

8. Cooking dinner each night.

9. Trying to live each minute by being in the moment

and not worring about past or future.

10. Looking at my two wonderful grown children who

have grown into productive people and marveling

at God's Grace for this miracle.

Incredible thread! I feel stronger:

1. Knowing I am not alone, even when I'm the only one in the room.

2. When I can take someones bad attitude and just brush it off.

3. Looking at my wedding band.

4. Dancing on my treadmill for 30 minutes regardless of how much I hate exercise.

5. Catching up on a bill.

6. Making sure the pets and plants are well taken care of.

7. Seeing a rainbow or sunrays though clouds- So invigorating!!

8. Having my husband call ne Tough as Nails and hug me.

9. Seeing my faults in other people; It reminds me it's okay to be human!

10. Reading hopes and questions that others post here, like they came out of my own thoughts. It's such an stress reliever knowing I have so many to rely on, because I don't know what I would do without the loving and giving folks on this site. Thank you.

Ten Things That I Do:

1. Read a bit of scripture from the Old/New Testaments

2. Say the Serenity Prayer every morning before I start the day

3. Listen to my husband and help resolve any problems

4. Write a poem at least every-other-day to express how the mind is feeling

5. Listen to my I-Pod as I work around the house

6. Help make creative menu choices for the next two weeks

7. Work out three days a week

8. Work on questions for my doctors' appointments

9. Help people with my insight in these forums and hope they could learn something from my experiences

10. Being grateful that I am ALIVE

I actually read the Serenity Prayer first before I attempt to do anything around the house...

You can live with the bipolar disorder, not let bipolar disorder ruin you...
