Hey all I just found this out and thought it might interest others too.

There are certain calcium channel blockers that are being studied for use in the treatment of bipolar disorder as mood stabilizers.

One reason this is so interesting, is that calcium channel blockers are much safer to use during pregnancy than lithium or any other anticonvulsants commonly used to stabilize and treat moods/mania.

Some calcium channel blockers that are being used to treat bipolar disorder are:

Calan/Isoptin

Nimotop

Cardizem/Carita/Dilacor/Tiazac

What is a Calcium channel? And is to much calcium shown to make bp worse? I hope not I LOVE milk.
