Ok so I'm still not completely used to taking this many meds. And I would forget like did I take my meds this morning/last night. So this is simple. And you may already do this. But I had to go out and buy a pill planner with the appropriate time slots for my medication so i could keep up with my medication. And I make time to fill it every sunday. I'm only 32 and at first i thought i could manage the meds myself. And I thought pill planners were for the elderly no offense. But hey whatever works. Now the only problem i have is once in a while i fall asleep too early and forget meds or wake up late for work and run out of the house without taking them. but i take them as soon as i remember unless its too close to the next dose. which than i will unfortunately skip that dose and take the next dose. but this happens unfrequently as i am getting better at remembering the meds. i have only been on medication for a couple of years now but its getting easier for me now. and i accept that the medication makes me a better person. and always try my very best to be compliant with my med regimen and discuss any questions or concerns i have with my pdoc right away. i never try to adjust my own medication. and i never willfully try to go without because i know how dangerous it is and what it will do to me. i am bi polar and have generalized anxiety disorder and post traumatic stress disorder. hope this was helpful for someone.

meds:

lamictal 100 mg at night

abilify 30 mg at night

celexa 40 mg in the morning

klonopin 0.5 mg twice a day

mobic 7.5 mg twice a day(for arthritis due to a car wreck.)

I can not change the world, but my world will be positively changed if I change myself!

I'm very much like you in my attitude towards meds, meds compliance, how I manage missed doses, and so on. Occasionally I wonder if it's because I have to pay so much in co-pays for my meds ($300 - $1,000. per month)! Seriously, I've always been meds complaint. I just have too much respect for the impact of meds on one's health.

This year i joined the healthcare spending plan my job offers. and i am contributing enough money to pay for my meds for the year. it is tax exempt and the money goes to a mastercard and i used it yesterday for the first time to refill my meds. i often struggle to afford my meds. but having the money come straight out of my check and simply swiping the card i sware it felt like i got them for free! and most of all the money will always be set aside so i dont have to choice anymore between bills, groceries, or meds. i can get them every month on time without worrying about the expense.

I now have reminders go off on my blackberry to make sure I take my meds--it works well for me. And a pill organizer is a must!

I take many medications and although it has been years and so im pretty good with compliance when it comes to work or class I can be out of whack. I put timer in my phone that are different tones for my meds then the ones I use to wake up and I also have a tiny whats suppose to be a change purse that I use to carry around all my meds I take for the morning and afternoon so I wont be lugging those cases around plus you never know what people may think would be nice to sell on the street, im really protective of my meds. Just some ideas from someone that's been using a case for one to many years lol
I have epilepsy,Myasthenia gravis,ADHD,Asthma,HSV, recovered ED, free of abuse, HSV and depression. I wont be a victim of abuse.

“This life is what you make it. Not matter what, you're going to mess up sometimes, it's a universal truth. But the good part is you get to decide how you're going to mess it up. Girls will be your friends - they'll act like it anyway. But just remember, some come, somg go. The ones that stay with you through everything - they're your true best friends. Don't let go of them. Also remember, sisters make the best friends in the world. As for lovers, well, they'll come and go too. And babve, I hate to say it, most of them - actually pretty much all of them are going to break your heart, but you can't give up becuase if you give up, you'll never find your soul mate. You'll never find that half who makes you whole and that goes for everything. Just because you fail once, doesn't mean you're gonna fail at everything. Keep trying, hold on, and always, always, always believe in yourself, because if you don't, then who will, sweetie? So keep your head high, keep your chin up, and most importantly, keep smiling, because life's a beautiful thing and there's so much to smile about.”
― Marilyn Monroe

“Life is an opportunity, benefit from it.
Life is beauty, admire it.
Life is a dream, realize it.
Life is a challenge, meet it.
Life is a duty, complete it.
Life is a game, play it.
Life is a promise, fulfill it.
Life is sorrow, overcome it.
Life is a song, sing it.
Life is a struggle, accept it.
Life is a tragedy, confront it.
Life is an adventure, dare it.
Life is luck, make it.
Life is too precious, do not destroy it.
Life is life, fight for it.”

[Material invasive of privacy edited by Catbaloo]. I have a 36 bin pill keeper which I fill every sunday. Sometimes I get so depressed that it ruins my whole day - I'm sarah could understand entirely. Even my Psychiatrist can't figure out how I keep it together. Well, I do, for the most part. Sometimes I find and extra Xanax on a good day and someother nightmare pill on a bad day. But, screw it, I have poor pill manners and just take what i put in those boxes. It is a way of organizing and so far I've not managed to have a grand come or even better!

Angel....One day I went out missing my am dose of Lamicatal. And had to return home due to withdrawal effects. I learnt my lesson and now carry about 36 hours of my meds with me.

P.S I am always aware of keeping them well away from kids.
