"My husband is bipolar." (sayaprayer)

MDJunction to me

"When I first came to MDJ, I was in a very dark place, and feeling quite alone, I don't know how I found this site, but I have been very grateful ever since, all of you have offered insight to the illness of Bipolar and the other things going on with me, being here has allowed me to find friends, and to feel safe in discussing things that I would never have shared before.

I believe it has also offered me the chance to reach out and help others. A simple Thank you, is all that I have to offer, to this site and to the wonderful people here.

As a bi-polar woman… some days I find it hard to find a warm fuzzy out there. So I thought, what better than to start a thread solely to the things that we are grateful for? That way, when we’re down, we can come here and be reminded that there ARE good things in life and that the darkness will pass.

You can post once a day… or 10 times… doesn’t matter. Just say what you’re grateful for.

So I’ll start…

Today I am grateful for shiny things, because they make me smile.

i am grateful for all of the wonderful people in my life, including everyone here. i am grateful that i've been able to accept me for who i am, bipolar and all, and decide that i'm a good person anyways...

thanks for the great thread, ladyrahl. you really are a wonderful addition to our group.

I try.

I figure some days I need a good reminder of why it's good to be alive.

I'm also grateful for this support group down to my core! For so long I feel like I was searching for something, and I feel like I've finally found it.

Oooh... shiny!

know the feeling. i know for sure this site played a big part in saving my life.

i just heard a quote from "the color purple" that said "god gets pissed when people don't notice the color purple" and "the thing that god likes most of all is gratitude". i can substitute in spirit or creator for god, as i no longer like that term, but it's true. you get what you project out and if it's negative and desperate, that's what you're going to get back. if it's thankful, that's just so positive, so think about what awesome things can come your way! thanks again for the thread. looking forward to what others have to say.

Today I am greatful for the fact that I was able to control my feelings yesterday and that I actually can't wait for me to go through the day and what lies ahead. That hasn't happened to me for almost six months now.

Zinnia I totally agree with you. You too ladyrahl. On the joking side of things maybe that's why people wear purple when they get old.lol (When's your birthday secton. Norma quotes,"When I get old I shall wear purple...")lol Hey, I wear purple....Does that make me old?lol

Here's something I never thought I would say...I'm grateful for my meds. I've finally calmed down and I didn't even realize how manic I actually was. I can breathe again, I can talk to people without wanting to punch them, I can look around and really see things. So I guess today I am grateful for my meds because with them I am able to appreciate everything and everyone else because I am stable. Or as stable as I get
J-ROCK, it ain't AM, it ain't FM, she's BP all the way!

Meds:
Trileptal 1200 Mg
Geodon 40 Mg
Lexapro 20 Mg
Wellbutron XL 300 Mg
Topomax 50 Mg
Concerta 36 Mg
Klonopin .5 Mg as needed
