So I took my first dose of zoloft last night. This morning I have patches of rash here and there on my body. Do small patches of rash constitute an allergic reaction? Or is it only an allergic reaction if the rash appears in large patches? How long should I wait? I hate this 'it could cause' part of the info papers they give out. I hate worrying about this, now I'm itchy all over. Thoughts on this would be appreciated.

Note: the only other med I had a reaction to was rispiridone and then my whole back had a rash. Does severity matter in rash?

Am I making any sense?

I've been practicing

You cannot change the future because you don't know what it holds until it is here, then it becomes the past, and why worry about the past since you cannot change it.

I am only as strong as those who support me.

Please note that I have lots of opinions and I have no qualms as to letting you know them, whether you agree with me or not is your opinion.

I would think of any kind of rash as a possible allergic reaction. Even if it wasn't too severe, it could be affecting you in some other way too, I would let my doctor know.

I have taken Zoloft for a long time without any problems myself. I have had doses from 50mg to 150mg.

I would check with your doctor. Any kind of rash could be a problem. I took Zoloft for 9 months. No rashes, but I started getting massive headaches and am on Pristiq now.
Day by day.

I didn't get any rashes, but rashes for me mean allergic reactions.
