Hello. I know this topic is SEVERELY overused....but i am gaining an average of 4 lbs per month. I take 750 mgs of Depakote....10 mgs of Paxil and 2 mgs of Abilify. My question may sound ignorant...but...I have tried walking and cutting back what i eat. Will more exercise help me lose this "medication" weight? or am i doomed dur to the fact that the meds just are prone to doing that to people? I am getting very depressed and the weight gain is too much too soon. My friends are asking what's wrong with me or if I have stress. I feel crappy. Any experiences welcome please!Sad

I also take wieght gaining meds..I eat low carb, low cal and high protien..I walk three miles a day and I eat no bread, potatos ,rice or pasta..If I so it is a treat once a wk..Other then that I heat alot of fish and chicken little red meat and have salads in place of starch for dinner and I eat the veggie that is being served with dinner..I do eat wraps of lunch meat and cheese all the time..I use the lean lunch meat and the wraps make great sub for bread and less cal and carbs..

Just takeing soda out of your diet you will lose 1 pound a wk..Change your dieting habits slowly so you don`t get overwhelmed..First it was the soda then started haveing yoguart for breakfast Krogers has their own brand it is called carb master it only has 4gms of carbs and 80 cals..If you can find it compare it to the other yoguarts ..You will be surprised..
