MDJunction to me

Hazeldee"MDJunction means that I no longer have to feel like I am the only person in
the world with pericarditis. It means that I can talk to others who know
how stressful and how painful having pericarditis can be. It means that I
connect with others to discuss treatments that have or haven't worked for us, so that we have a leg to stand on. I think that having my friends at
MDJunction has allowed me to better mentally and emotionally process my
diagnosis and what it means to me. I feel so lucky to have this community
available to me. I use MDJunction as a way to use my experience to help
others. Reaching out to help others is the only solace I have found since
being diagnosed with pericarditis.

My girlfriend is being "weened" off effexor and she is a mess. She has had so many side effects it is unbelievable. She is depressed, achy, irritable...the list goes on and on. Has anyone else ever gone through this and if so, how did you handle it/get through it??

Any advise would be awesome

To be honest I could not handle it..Now because my insurence changed this month and will not kick in til next month ..I have to come off every thing..So I`ll either be dead or in a hole somewhere dieing..I can`t cope with out my meds at all..I take alot of them and now I have been 24hrs without them and I can`t stand me at all and all I want to do is cry and that is giveing me a migrain..So I`ll just give up.

effexxor has a HORRIBLE withdrawal. i ran out a couple of weeks ago, and had to go the weekend without. felt like someone was putting their fist in my chest and pulling, and like someone kept shaking my brain. to top all that off i was very fluey, very achey. Euch, it was HORRIFIC. good luck to your girlfriend, hopefully if they're weemning her off it will be beytter than cold turkey

jolly joe if you truly can't make this week without meds go to the nearest hospital tell them your ready to give up and they will hopitalize you for a week or so and you will get your meds. If you ask them they can adjust the date so your insurance will cover it. I'v been through it all I've been bipolar all my lfe but not diagnsed untill 6 years ago and 6 hospital stays and 5 attempted suicide. Not proud of it at all thats just fact. And I'm sure I will visit them again when things get to be more then I can handle.
