Hi. I havent dont that mix but I did take lamictal and up untill then nothing has ever worked and it did, i loved it!!! I mean I really did. Still to this day I havent found anything else that will work. After building it up and then we added a pill to take at night (cuz woke up raging bitch) it was just 100i88n moring of lamictal and then 100@ night of lamictal and for the first time in my life i felt on top of the world. After a month or 2 of taking the double dose my face started breaking out (My face doesbt and hardly ever did even as teen) my lympnoids-under chin and behind my ears swoll up. I though i was going to get sick, but never did and they stayed swollen, the zits on my face (left check jaw bone line to chin) were aweful, they hurt and wouldnt go away) Come to find out i was allergic and it could have killed me, so my hopes to u r that it works as awesomely as they did for me but that u wont turn out to be allergic. GOOD LUCK!

Hi

I am just starting on Lamictal too. Its only been one week and so far I think its great. I can't believe how fast this med is lifting the sadness and making me feel calmer than any other anti-seizure mood stabilizer ( depakote or carbamazapine)

I am also taking Vistaril 25mg twice a day for anxiety (it is basically a antihistamine) and I do take 50mg of Seroquel for sleep aid. I have not had weight problem with Seroquel at that low dose.

My doctor will NOT give any bipolar patient a anti-depressant for the risk of mania. At least not until ALL other options are tried....and I am glad as the Lamictal is so far the best mood stabilizer I have tried, and I am 50 now, so I have tried alot.

I hope you find your right cocktail. My doc also thinks too many doctors are putting people on too many different drugs at one time, and its hard to tell what is working and what is not. I am thankful for her. I have had bad doctors in the past.....

Good Luck and don't give up on the meds....

HUGS Gail
