Cool Cool Cool Good Morning y'all, coffee is just about done brewing and I hear the kettle starting to whistle.. so tea will be ready soon, bagels, donuts and fresh fruit, with homemade whipping cream is on the table next to the coffee mugs..

We were not on here a lot, as Glenn did his good deed for the day yesterday morning/afternoon, he found a lady stranded on the side of the road with a flat, got her back to the house and changed out her tire for her so that she could make it to work on time.. then after he had rested a bit, we went to a BBQ (which I wasn't sure about attending) at my brother the drunks home..lol, he was already one beer over his limit when we got there.. even having been a drunk myself, I've found over the years being around stumbling bumbling drunks to get on my nerves, hell never cared for it much when I was drinking..Tongue Tongue

As it turns out though, that is where we were meant to be, Kirby had a serious Monday going on, lol, and being shit faced, sure would not have helped the matter, first the propane bbq would not heat up right, told him just go ahead and put them on, just give a longer cooking time.. So while he was trying to get his sounds going using his laptop and the speakers he has on the screened porch, and fighting with them cause he could not get the speakers to work, I was watching the burgers so that we didn't end up with chucks of charcoal, I watched the bbq get colder and colder, we discovered the power strip outside was full of water so it wasn't working, don't know how long that had been out, hopefully not long, cause it was running their freezer along with everything else out there, and finally I decided to take matters into my own hands when it came to getting the burgers and hot dogs done, took them in the house and pan fried them, so that food was on the table just a short time later, my sister in law was as plastered as my brother, so she would not have been much help..lol.. I believe my brother has inherited mom's cooking style, burnt is better.. we generally end up with tough little burgers tasting like charcoal when he cooks, and even when having to cook quickly like I did, these at least turned out juicy and not tasting of charcoal... made sure everyone ate, including the two drunks, we ate and then I pleaded bad night vision and we retreated.. So how was your Saturday?

Morning Carmen...way to save the day...or at least the barbecue! Tongue That was sweet of Glenn to stop as it seems there are few good Samaritans any more. Everyone is in such a hurry...

Back to barbecue...my pet peeve about barbecue, (other than like you the drunks) is when someone invites you and says we will eat at 1:00 and you get there and they haven't even started the grill (or bought the food LOL) and so you don't end up eating until 4 or 5! Now I eat before I got to a barbecue so I am safe! LOL

Morning all...Pixie and Kimmin I left a message this morning on May 17th just before Carmen closed it.

Getting another cup of Carmens Coffee..Tongue

I doubt sometimes whether a quiet & unagitated life would have suited me-yet I sometimes long for it. - Byron

Smile Good Morning Graph, I should have done like you did, although my brother was kinda honest about it, dinner would not be served till around 4, and I believe it was more like 6 before all the visiting and chaos was sorted out, when I invite, dinner is served with in a hour of the come over time, unless it is on the table prior to everyone arriving, bbq, you can't really put the finishing touches on it till everyone is there, as you don't want the burgers and dogs being cold by the time they arrive and you always have laggers coming in late..lol.. haven't had a bbq yet this year, but planning on it, as our place is now easier to find than the last place we lived, we were seriously out in the boonies..

Going for another cup of jo myself..

Good morning, everyone! Smile

The rain stopped just in time for my daughter's prom yesterday. With the updo and gown, she looked beautiful and all grown up. She and her friends are off to an amusement park today. (It's raining again, lol).

My husband is working again, both daughters are off with friends, so it's just me and my son today - should be quiet and peaceful.

What's everyone else up to?

I like people until they give me reason not to, she said. Some days they just drop like flies, though, she added. - Brian Andreas
