Good morning All, Hope all is well and everyone looking forward to a beautiful day. I could not order a more perfect day. Getting my s*#) together for Jazz Fest. Today has been dubbed "Estrogen Fest" all the performers on the main stage today are women:

Susan Cowsill, Kim Carson and the casualties, Theresa Anderson group, Allison Krauss, Sheryl Crow.

My nephew "Trumpet Red" is playing today with Jonno and Bayou Deville, so even though zydeco is not my favorite, I will go see "da kid" play. Then off to a softshell crab poor boy and the Real untouchables brass band, followed up by Crawfish bread. I will probably spend the rest of the day at the Estrogen stage. I have a schoolboy crush on Theresa Anderson so I can't miss her. Hope I have the stamina.

Life is a journey, not a destination.

Laissez les bons temps rouler.

Each day is a new canvas to paint upon. Make sure your picture is full of life and happiness, and at the end of the day you don't look at it and wish you had painted something different.

The following links are video of Nephew Playing with Johnny Sketch and the dirty notes, second one is with the Dirty Dozen Brass Band. He's the Red head, fifteen and has played with more famous people than I can count, and always acts like it's no big deal. Good kid.

Hey Everyone, Thanks Dreux, for opening the room this AM, I am/was borderline nervous breakdown, and just plain didn't remember to open up, some of the stress has been removed, still a lot there, and have to work this evening, so a breakdown is out of the question till tomorrow, can fall apart then, there's nothing like waking up to pay the car insurance online and finding "canceled" on the webpage.. Thankfully the Insurance agent got through to them, they have my payment and were not going to cancel till the 14th of May, shitheads could have put that on the frigging page.. and not gave me heart failure, now if Glenn's VA gets straightened out things will level back out, it's been tough trying to manage everything on the little bit I bring in, thankfully he is working a part time job and it covers the rent or we would really be screwed..

Nap time for me, have fun..

Carmen

Good afternoon folks,

I have not been around much in the past couple of weeks. First my son was here for two weeks on midtour leave from Iraq. It was a wonderful two weeks, but all good things must come to an end. He went back last Saturday. I have been really depressed ever since. The prospect of another 9 months of worry is just overwhelming. I just did not feel up to talking, and I have felt like I should just stay offline instead of burdening you all. My husband has been a rock, but mainly we avoid talking about it, though we are both just worried as hell.

How is everyone doing? I hope all of you are having a good day.

DC

Hey, dc, we are here to listen! Don't apologize. That is a stressful situation, and you should vent/talk all you need to.

Hugs,

Terri

Evening all.

Dreamchaser, a burden shared is much lighter. Got broad shoulders if you need one to lean on.

Carmen, I am sorry you are having such a bad time right now, hope a hug helps. HUG!

W00t Hi, Home, I'm honey... and I see most of you have been quiet this evening, thought that I was going to be working tomorrow till the kid I was going to cover decided to come in and announce that if i didn't want to work, i didn't need too, the dumb shit, lol.. if he didn't want to work tomorrow he should have kept his mouth shut, but since I figured he needed the money, I told him no problem, he could cover..rofl.. Don't think that made him happy, but it did me, I could use the money but could use the rest more..

Norma, good luck with the fishing trip, let us know when the fish fry is..

Pixie dear, are you still not doing to well?
