I'd like to hear about it, too!
I was never good at short copy.

Well I actually got the idea when I was going through the stages of Anorexia. I started my own group called 'Criminally_Thin' a writing site for people that needed a release of emotion...ended up the talent was phenomenal. So then my bipolar mind that comes up with idea after idea thought..."Hey wouldn't it be cool to have a collaberative book of these talented people with an autobiograpy of each contributor and a chapter dedicated to their poetry/writing. Have an agent and publisher write up a contract to split the revenue up equally among the authors, and agree to have a certain amount of proceeds to an agreed upon charity...like this board for example. The book was going to have the title 'Criminally_Thin: An Anorexic Journey Into The Mind' or something like that...I only had a couple of people on board, then I had to stop that behavior because I started blacking out from lack of nutrition and nobody would let me go to "livejournal" anymore.

Everyone seems to understand the bipolar disorder thing (for me anyway), so it wouldn't seem sick (if you think the stigma is bad for this disorder, try an anorexic life it is equally as bad, and sometimes worse).

I don't have a clever book title though...I like clever titles A LOT. I don't like obvious titles...I like them to suggest something thought provoking and deep in the work. Something that hits you in the head somewhere in the book or poetry and you think 'AHHHH, the reason for the title'

This would be along the same lines as what I have mentioned. Not like a poetry.com 'anthology' book, but a real book with a chapter dedicated to the authors life and how they were diagnosed...what they have experienced...more than the 100 words you're allowed with poetry.com anthology crap...and yes I bought into it...but hey I am published.

Am I rambling? I feel like I am rambling.

I just think it would be worth while, you know?

I THINK you MIGHT be rambling, but I don't really know anything about stuff like that. LOL LOL Anyway... I think that is a FANTASTIC idea! I wonder if you could recruit anybody from this website to share their stories? And of course, the very first chapter has to be yours, right? Imagine going into Borders and seeing your name and words in print on the shelves.... wow. You should go for it.... I'd stand in line to buy a copy...

And I think "Criminally Thin" is a great title in its own right....

The following 2 pieces were kindled by last night's implosion (or Kimplosion ha ha) Hope you enjoy them...

Speaking In Tongues

There’s turbulence

rocking my head,

and I try to organize

my screeching thoughts…

But images and words

Crackle and boom…

Thunder & lightening.

It only rains once in a while,

but I hear the drops;

like music notes depicting remorse -

this is the

storm before the calm.

I can't seem to remember anything before

this moment,

But I guess that's how consciousness works…

or disease,

Left in dresser drawers

next to diaries and dreams.

The light shakes when the door is slammed,

just like my body;

Connecting the freckles on my shoulders

with pins and needles…

I keep coming back to this don't I?

Too bad… I’m electric!!!

(And it makes no difference when the fuse is blown)

The currents are still coursing through me and

there's no use for prayer where I am.

I’ve come up with four pages of nothing

and everything,

But all there is to show for it

is another wired poet

Who just speaks in tongues.

Writer’s Block

My anger arises in the absence of words,

Finger joints vigorously tensed, screaming.

The head vice tightens as no thoughts come to mind,

Grammar, form and function forgotten.

“A Block” they call it,

“A Weight” is more like it…

Soldier through, cowboy up

And kill the empty space.

Disassociate or deviate – drown it out with wine.

Take some more pills,

Form an old cliché –

My depth has gone shallow.

she pictures the soul with no leak at the seam...
