Well Gloria was a real brat when I first came here...LOL

Ask Norma, I play devil's advocate real well. Taking the under dog can get me into some trouble sometimes. I especially like taking the side of the person that isn't here to defend themselves! :-p

have to get this out-why don't these folks understand that their kids have to come first? if mom or dad is threatening kids or saying they are going to harm them or there's any sign, why can't anyone understand that this means you must go to protect your children????? i know i might be being insensitive, but i'm just feeling assaulted by posts where people are asking these questions about their child abusing spouses that makes me wonder what other answer they are going to get besides "keep kids safe and get them out of there". why aren't these kids first, before all of us?

thanks for the vent.

my question too zinnia it just bewilders me.....another one on here has 2 kids and his wife is totally out there he says she threatens violence on all of them but he stays ......say what AND she has been this crazy, hitting him and shit,,,,for a long time BUT!!!!!!!!!! she is pregnant again & he is worried about the new baby!!! for god's sake man why would you have another kid with this woman????????????????? I just get so frustrated some times cause i think they want us to validate their staying like we are going to protect our own and tell them to please stay do they really think we are stupid??? I am sick right now so that is probably why i am so irritated, but they just piss me off

By staying silent, not taking charge of the situation the parent that is aware of the abuse is also responsible. Many times people who are abused make excuses, this also happens with parents. They make excuses enabeling the abuse to continue in the name of saving the family. Toxic situation for the children to live in...

the law really will hold you responsible, too, norma. it's called "failure to protect". these people sometimes go way beyond that and it's just so sad, sad, sad...another generation of kids who don't have a chance.
