I am new to the internet. This is the first chat room that to which I have ever subscribed. It seems like there is a lot of people here and they monitor things well, nothing out of hand. And if it is out of hand it is handled quickly.

Looking on other sites it seems like there could be some problems elsewhere.

Of course, I am an older person and you young guys are probably saying DUH!!

Guess I will go by the saying: If you see it and it looks like a duck and it quacks like a duck and somebody tells you its a chicken. It is still a duck....if something doesn't look right. It probably isn't.

lol I agree with you Norma. I have been on forums, websites, chatrooms for a longtime now. I have lived with 2 people I have met online so it doesnt mean they're all bad...BUT.... You do have to watch & be very careful of the people you decide to meet or talk to. I'm sure it can turn out very bad and scary. Go with your instincts, they're usually right. If something tells you to stay away, then i say stay away.

Hi Norma,

I have seen wierdos on chat rooms, before. They usually don't stay on topic, and are trying to pick people up, or sell something.

I have learned to be careful about what info to put on the internet.

I don't share my picture. I don't say the names of my kids, or the exact location of where, I live.

I have kids, and I wont let them on myspace at all!!!. If they sign up to a game site, I use my login, and password.

Anyway, this site is well monitored. I am also grateful for that.

God Bless,Gypsy

Myspace is great place to meet people and I warn you! For people like me.. who can get swept to anything easily. I met some coupe of guys offline from myspace and they all turned out to be kind of creepy or losers. Hence my last boyfriend I met is from myspace. Although, there are all not creepy predators online, I have met my best friend through myspace as well. So just becareful and watch out.

Yeah..... sadly... I didn't feel like being alone and I met alot of guys offline trying to find comfort in this black whole in my heart. I guess that's one of the symptoms due to bipolar. Let's just say... I did things I wasn't proud of.

Hey, don't worry, I went through that, too. When, I first discovered yahoo messenger, when, My ex left me with 3 kids. I was trying to fix myself. I dated a few guys online who were nice, but, also picked a couple who were not so healthy. I went a little nuts..lol
