Bipolar Support Group

I'm also the youngest in my family. When we get together for holidays it's like everyone avoids me. I think the think they may catch the crazies from me. No biggie. Their loss and besides, not having to deal with them is less stress on me.

Thats too bad uppity...that cough keeps you awake and having bipolar and lack of sleep is NOT A GOOD MIX.

Dit, off the top of my head I don't remember her avitar. But she was posting quite a bit at this thread the past several days and was really struggling. She has a son with disabilities who went off on them. It was a scary situation and she was on the edge. I hope that she is alright.

Uppity, have you seen a doctor for your cough? When that happens to me I just down some Nyquil. Between that and my meds I'm usually out for at least a few hours.

Uppity, have you been through a round of prednisone? Sounds like you may need another one if you have.

Laura was on yesterday, I'm not sure how well the treatments have worked but she did remark that she expected to be happy all the time and I told her that it was unrealistic that even normies aren't happy ALL the time.

Jrock, my friend MJ said I was a basket case and I told her no, I was the basket LOL

deb, too funny you are youngest too...I'm avoiding the 2 oldest right now; they are sending nasty e=mail to the 5 of us; they are the Trustees of my Dad's Will - and we are going to have Lawyer to all...We've sent them an origianl letter signed by 5 stating to stop sending e=mails and leave us alone...Only crazy thing is that we all have ownership of a cottage 1 hr drive from where we live; we have to try to get along - we had a mediator (our pastor from church) willing to meet with all 7 for reconciliation and only us 5 showed; The two oldest don't give a shit. Things have gotten real ugly. This letter will really surprise them. We are ignoring their e-mails and we know its driving them crazy.

Thanks Dit. It is affecting my bipolar. I have been dancing around depression. Deb, going to sleep is not a problem. The meds I take knock me right out. But during the night I get coughing fits that wake me up repeatedly. Sometimes I get back to sleep, only to wake up again, or I just am awake for the rest of the night. I have tried everything. I have an appt. with my regular dr next week and I will be talking to her about it. I can't go on like this.

MsJ, I have not had prednisone except for poison ivy. Why would I take it for a cough? Just curious.
