Yeah...my mom had alot to do with my dealing with the abuse.

Another one I like is hurt.

I can relate to the lyrics.

my mum was the main abuser whilst my father did take part he was the lesser of the two evils. i dont even refer to them as mum or dad any more i call them by their first names when talking about then in therapy and all the nurses do as well, because to me they were never my parents

It's difficult to explain with my relationship. She was a messed up parent with her own demons. And she failed to protect me from the abuse. She turned to the church and kinda left me to emotionally grow up on my own.

the only emotion i learnt growing up was anger. the hospital and my psychologist are working on emotions and feelings with me, im learning how to recognise them and how to deal with them and im 27 goes to show how something so important your meant to gain growing up can be halted because of your situation

Yep. I wasn't allowed to be angry. I was supposed to let god take it from me and turn the other cheek. Anger was a bad emotion.

I didn't learn many others either. Emotions that is. My mom was depressed most of the time and so deeply tied to the church she was blinded by what was happening with her daughter. She did her best, but sexual abuse is hard to deal with. She chose not to.

when i was beaten, if i cryed it made things worse, so i would get angry and take it out on my 'perfect' brother, the things i did to him weere awful. even now i find it hard to cry, the nurses see me in a teary state and they try to encourage me just to let my emotions take over and allow me to cry because im no longer in danger but i feel vulnerable, but its getting easier
