MDJunction to me

jenniferdiva"MDJunction has been just an amazing support for me. The people who are on mdj are so nice! Unlike the many other support sites that I have been on. I have made several friends on mdj who are so supportive and so educated about mental illness. Of course non of us are doctors, but we certainly offer each other hugs, opinions, and advice. I have learned a great deal from my friends on mdjunction. I am also encouraging other people who suffer from mental illness to come on to MDJ. It can be a life line." (jenniferdiva)

Smile Good Morning everyone, how are you all doing? I'm doing pretty good all things considered, Glenn and I are going to get started on getting the camper set up to be ready to roll by the end of the month hopefully.

We're setting off on a adventure that will hopefully take us to all the Continental US, I'm looking so forward to it. It's kinda strange to have no one that I am responsible to care for.. Baby brother has a friend of the family that can help to take care of him, between the two of them they add up to a whole reasonably healthy person. Glenn and I are still in reasonably good health, so we need to do this while we can.

Don't know that I have told you, but my disability came through. Took 23 months, I had serious doubts about getting it, but did. 2 denials and a hearing later I got my approval.

I have several things wrong with me, and they found me disabled on 4 of them. Not one by it's self was enough to take me out of the work force, but the combination was. So the back pay allowed us to buy a camper, the trailer for the bike and some other stuff we needed. I told Glenn that this trip was not to be on a schedule, we'd get to where we were going (CA at this time) when we get there.

If we travel for two hours and park for two days, then that is what we'll do, if we travel for two days and then park for 2 weeks, so be it.

Big Hugs to all,

"Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle."

Thanks Uppity, I am looking forward to the trip, we're going to stay for a week or two at a place in NC, to see if A) we can handle being in the camper and have all that we need. and Cool if we can live that close to each other without one of us strangling the other... in a camper there is no private place to retreat too, unless you go outside or hide out in the cab of the truck..rofl..

How have you been doing?

I've been okay. Have had a lot of sleep problems. Have found a cocktail that works, but so far my insurance company is rejecting it. Angry My pdoc is working to get that fixed. Hopefully, they will relent and will cover her prescription for 2 Ambien CR not just 1. Other than that, I've been good. Job's good. Hubby's good' Son's fine. Life's good.

I am well, thanks for asking. A little sun burned form spending the day at the pool yesterday but it is not that bad. Slept late this morning. All is well! Smile

That's good. I am going in very late today. Matthew was originally flying out today, but changed his flight back to yesterday. A sub for me had already been arranged so I am not going in until 5:00 today. 5:00-8:00, just three hours as the evening supervisor.

Are you going to stay with your pdoc and tdoc since you can see them on the weekends rather than find news ones locally?
