I've always thought that I'd like to go to England. I had a friend here who is from the UK and I could listen to her talk for hours -- I'm captivated by the accent, although she's lived here for many years, so her accent is pretty slight at this point.

Richard lived in England for a short while on a Fulbright Fellowship. I know if I said to him let's take a cruise to England, he'd be on board right away, lol! But he's not interested in cruising any place else. The cruising part doesn't interest him much ...

I am not a Dr and therefore are not able to provide medical advice, the opinions I express are mine and based on my experiences and should not be taken as anything other than my opinion.

You awake as if from a nightmare to find yourself standing in front of a blank wall, dazed with no idea as to how you got there.

You feel something in your hand. You look down to see you are holding paint brush, you are confused. Out of the corner of your eye you see a table, on that table is some paint. The colours make you feel happy and safe, you look to the other side, and there is another table with paint. The colours are dark and remind you of your nightmare, a chill runs down your spine at the thought of it.

You look back at the canvas and see something you missed before. Now you understand. you chose a colour, and begin to paint.

Above the wall was written,

Your life

It's a scholarship that he applied for after finishing his bachelor's in Architecture. You have to write a proposal for it I think. (He got this year's before I met him.) Anyway, it paid for his travel and a stipend as well. He went to England to work in city planning there. At the time, there was a great deal of interest in what they called "New Towns." Creating cities from a design standpoint, rather than them evolving as most do.

When he finished that he came back to the US and did his Master's Degree. Then was invited to Penn State to teach by one of his former teachers who had been appointed Dept. Head in Architecture.

Oh, wow, Casper!!! That sounds simply amazing!!! Did your parents take photographs on the trip? I imagine it'd be nice to look through them now.

Do you think you'd ever like to take your daughter on such a trip when she's old enough?
