Smile Smile Good Morning Y'all, who's voting today? I'm registered, Glenn and I are suppose to vote, problem is we like neither candidate..lol.. The polls open here at 7, I have to be to work at 8, and don't get off till 4, so if it doesn't look like I am going to make it on time, will have to leave and try again this evening.

Y'all have been a talkative bunch, last nights thread was up to 59, I'm trying to remember what the record was, will have to go back and check.

You remember the problems I've been having at work? well checked the schedule yesterday, and some time between when I left Friday night and yesterday morning, I've been put back to working Friday night at the most, I can live with Fridays, as it is only fair and Walgreens policy is "fair scheduling" we'll see how long this lasts.

good luck america - do the right thing, whatever that may be. i get lost in the long hub bub of your elections. and then the electoral college thing?

your northern neighbours will be watching, as well as the whole damn world.

Good Morning Cirque, your right about the world watching, lol, don't understand that, but they are.. I too get lost in the long hub bub, of the election years, and don't like the way that the candidates attack each other, why can't they just say, I'll do this and that for the country and leave it at that, as for the electoral college, never understood that one either, it really seems like the "little man's" vote doesn't count, I believe they ought to do away with that one.

Everytime I see your name, I think of the circus de solie (?, don't think I spelled that one right, but I love the performance they put on. Have you ever seen them?

yeah i kinda cheated with cirque du moi, which means my circus or circus of me. it's kinda appropriate. cirque du soleil is circus of the sun. i've seen them 4 or 5 times before they became big in las vegas. they formed on Montreal which about 120 miles from where i live.

you mentioned when the polls open and close and your work hours. don't you get time off work to vote? in canada by law citizens must have 4 consecutive hours to vote. not many people use it, but if you're on 12 hour shifts you'd need it.

i'm sure that someone will come up with a rational explanation for the electoral college, probably historically, but what i know of it seems throw a wrench in the process. do people realize what they're voting for?

you americans are soooo craaazzzySmile

lol, I know what you mean about the american's being crazy, and I am a prime example of that.. I work between the hours of 8 and 4, the polls run 7 to 7. So I have a hour before and 3 hours after, before work I can do it if the line isn't all that large, after work is iffy cause the feet hurt so bad, I am lucky to crawl out of the car to get in the house..never mind trying to stand in a line... So we will see, I am fixing to get out of here and head for the polls, see how things look over there. Wish me luck.

See you all this evening, which by the way, for over 2 hours I sat here and I don't believe I ever got through reading yesterdays thread, I'll stay up all night if I have too, if you guys hit a hundred pages today..lol..

see you later, Glenn is out of bed, but the brat isn't going with me to vote this morning, informs me they say mid-morning and mid afternoon are the best times, told him I am "F'd" as I am working during those times, if I can't get it done this morning, I might not be voting at all.

She went over to the polling place CM... I'm going about 9:30 or so... I was going to go with her this morning but just couldn't wake up and when I did, my back was at a 7... hopefully it'll mellow out now that I'm up and moving around a bit.
I am who I am, but I am trying to get better.

good morning, all. good to see so many planning on going out to vote today. haven't a clue what time i'll be going yet, but this one horse town is so small, i don't think i'll be having a problem with lines. this is the one place i've ever lived where i have never once had to stand in line to renew my plates/license at the secretary of state's office. yup. it's that small.

my house faces east and there is a gorgeous sunrise taking place outside my front windows right now. the sky is a beautiful pinkish orange at the horiazon, melding into a lavender, slowly progressing to a smoky blue. my spuce trees are sillouetted against that background and all in all, the whole scene puts me in a mellow good mood. makes politics seem inconsequential, though i am hugely active in that arena. still, it's nice to think of something else for just a moment.

hope everyone has as sweet a start to their day as i seem to be having. it seems i have awakened on the right side of the bed this morning. what a welcome treat.
