The party could have gone better. The entertainer had some very loud noises on the party track (I warned him), and my son ran away in tears. There were only 5 kids total so this was obvious, but I guess all the kids know him from school, they continued on and we got him back near the end. The thing that really shocked us was the sudden appearance of 2 kids at the front door, no parent accompanying them! They had been dropped off at the gate, the parents don't know us, and they left no mobile number!

We are feeling shell-shocked from what was a very awkward party and I will have to explain to the school aide so she can do some damage control in terms of my son's reactions and how other kids saw this.

It looks like it will rain hard.

Hi Trishy...still awake?

It is 3:35 am in SE Texas...and i went to bed early, so guess i am up for the day. Too nervous to sleep...storm coming our way and lots to do before it gets here.

Fizzio..we are going to stay for this storm...we live 30 miles from the Gulf of Mexico. Our house is very sturdy and stood through Hurricane Rita 3 yrs ago...all the big beautiful 100' pine trees are gone from that storm, so no big trees to fall on the house. We will board up the windows with 3/4" plywood, and sit it out here. So we will not be evacuating. Looks like they will evacuate New Orleans, it has already started. And they are evacuating the nursing homes here tomorrow. For Hurricane Rita we did evacuate spent 8 hrs on the highway with two nervous dogs, one a pit bull mix who does not do well with strangers...every time we stopped to use the bathroom he thought he needed to show all the other evacuating dogs that he was Alpha. LOL LOL It is just so much, loss of business for a storm, the mess afterwards, no electricity for weeks, the whole thing is a pain in the tush.
