G'day,

You all must be just starting Friday. I have finished it and some of the house work is done before the weekend.

Can't be bothered doing much cooking so we are having turkish bread and babaganoush, pickled octopus, chilli salami, flathead tails in beer batter, olives and prepackaged roast peking duck breast. The kids are having fried rice, they can eat buckets of it and they only like the one from the chinese takeaway not if we cook it. We try to kid ourselves it is healthy because it has vegies in it, but the younger one is adept at eating every grain of rice and leaving the vegies. Anyone have a good recipe for fooling kids into eating vegies?

Hey, Fizzio. How are you today? I've got a bad headache, but I don't have to go anywhere so hopefully it will improve.

Had to go to a memorial service yesterday. My oldest daughter's best friend's mom died suddenly. It was so awful to think of that poor girl alone at 21. Then, I cried and cried. Thus, the headache.

Thanks! I'm totally obsessive so if I can't get all three I might cry. That and I'll have a bee in my proverbial bonnet until I can get the last one. Ugh... I hate my brain sometimes.

Jesssica Seinfeld has written a book about just that. Tricking your kids into eating their vegetables. I think it's called "Deceptively Delicious". The book and the food have both gotten rave reviews. Good luck, my daughter never ate a thing that was green except for lettuce and cucumbers and now at twenty, she still doesn't

Maybe I was an odd child... but my Mom could just sit me down with a can of green beans and I'd go to town.

Evening and morning all... You might log on to foodtv.com and see if Good Eats has a program or two for doing just that... Alton Brown is the host and Carmen just love him... I like watching him too... He blends science and technique and information in an entertaining way... We may disappear due to hard drive issues... this one is on it's last legs and we don't have the money to replace it... So while I've still got some, here is a pic for today...
