I am happy I am pregnant but I have bipolar. I have to see a specialist obgyn and a regular obgyn. I am so scared because of the meds I am on but I have been advised that there are more risks with getting off of it being bipolar. I just hope the baby is going to be fine. I will be closely monitored by my high risk baby doctor which is a great thing.

Check and see if accupuncture is an option. I had a friend in highschool whom was BP and she couldn't take hers at all and she said accupuncture helped. Just do what the doctors say and you'll be okay so will the baby.

Hi!!! Welcome, Shankb...congratulations on being an expectant Mom. I think listening to the doctors are wise and sounds like you have some good medical support. Make yourself at home. Glad you joined.

Do ask questions and do check out the drugs yourself, there are decisions to make both about the pregnancy and breast feeding. I trusted someone who said everything would be fine and I wish I had known more.
