Okay.... I was doing great until about two weeks ago when things started to crash again...I started feeling really depressed and not wanting to do things anymore. I kept calling in sick for work and missed a couple of my classes. I feel that I have no motivation to do anything.... Also, I have been having really agitated and emotional, so I kind of took it out on other people including my b/f. We had a huge fight again last Thursday because of something I said and I haven't been really emotional lately and we got into a huge fight again about how he can't handle being with me and wanted to break up becauee my actions hurt him deeply and he couldnt' take the emotional rollercoaster anymore. Anyways, I want on a rampage.. loong story and things are okay right now... but it's very tense and strained. I know we both care for each other...but we're deeply hurt with what happened on Thursday because it almost brought an end to the relationship again. I swore to myself that I will never lose control until, but I relapsed and I feel like a failure. What do anyone else do when we are in this situation?? How can I get back my realtionship, how it was before? We were doing great until I blew it. P.S. Yes, I am on a mood stablilzer.. I am on Lamictal.

Hi Pixie I am sorry you are going through such a difficult time.

I have definetly gone through times when I have become unstable again. Some times something going on in my life triggers it sometimes no reason at all.

Probebly the first thing I would do is contact your med doc and let them know what is going on. Perhaps a adjustmet to your medication would help you get things back in control. This would also show your B/F that you really want to make things work with him. If he is open to it (and has'nt already done so) try and get him to learn more about our illness. Maybe even take him to your med doc if he is willing. My husband was very skeptical about BP before he met with my med doc and she was able to explain what BP was.

It will always be a hard bumpy road. Take care of yourself.

This is a great forum (with great people) to get information, advice and support. Plus I am sure you have a lot to offer as well.

Hugs Mary

I've noticed that it helps to "focus focus focus". My dad is on hospice right now and will probably pass away within the next few weeks. i thought i would lose it at first. But for the last few months, i have been getting stronger and stronger. And you know how i've done it? by #1 - Making it a point to eliminate all unnecessary stress from my life. # 2 setting small goals for myself and making sure i pat myself on the back when i meet a goal, no matter how small it is. and number #3. Accept teh things you cannot change. Just pray to God to give you strength to make it through one more day. i have still have those days when i cant get out of bed and see no reason why i should, but i open my eyes, look up at the ceiling and tell myself "okay, you are alive for one more day, time to get out of bed and do what you gotta do". It really is very hard at times but i also learned another trick - set the alarm for 1/2 hour before you have to get up, get up and take 1000mcg of vitam B12. That little "kick" in the morning really helps. and B12 is water soluble so it wont harm you. Try it and good luck.
