MDJunction to me

Macv"For me, MDjunction has been a place where I can share my experiences
living with the very rare bone disease called Ollier's ( Enchondromatosis ) with the parents of children recently diagnosed. I can help them not to run
into the pitfalls my parents did when I was young, give them a bit of a view
from their child's perspective and simply be there to offer support and
hope to people who are scared and just had their lives upended. I also belong to a chronic pain group and it's been a Godsend to be able to actually
talk with others who understand what I'm dealing with. Besides them helping me through my tough times, I can be there to help them as well. Here too, I can use my years of experience to help others avoid pitfalls and it makes me feel good, gives my life more purpose. MDjunction brings people
together when their suffering, at their darkest and feeling alone in this world and allows some light to be brought back into their lives. HOPE, that's what
MDjunction means to me!

Hi Charmplace,

What prompted your dr's assessment? What have you been going through?

Hugs,

Melissa

Hi, Charm, go through all the post in the group, there you will find many, many things to read, all of what we have gone through, there are so many different ways that bipolar can express it's self, did your doctor say why he thinks you are bipolar?

Hi Charm,

Welcome, I am glad you have found us.

I have bipolar 1 with Rapid cycling. and psychotic features. I start with mixed mania, and excalate in to mania, and then drop into depression. I can go really high, and think, I was psychic, and then drop down into a hole of voices, and suicidal thoughts. I have gone on missions to either shop, or do a really big project. Usually some home improvement project, or gardening project.

I can be very critical, and argumentative.

If you have been diagnosed, I would research all you can about this illness. That's what, I did. I was pretty scared, and wanted to learn as much as I could.

Anyway, hang out, share, vent, and ask questions. We are here for you.

God Bless,Gypsy
