Well hello first of all. I too am off meds right now. I have no kids though. Sometimes it can be a little difficult but there are others here who aren't on meds either. I think you will find alot of support. Can I help you with anything?

I will be going into the hospital in a day or two and then I will go to outpatient. I like to just take a long drive and clear my head or clean house. It helps also to talk to people. I don't sleep well and there are a few others so you can just come into the lounge/ anyone awake forum and talk about what ever. Your friend seems to be supportive and it should definitely help to talk to others going through the same thing. Just make sure you tell your docs everything and if you ever feel like you are going to hurt yourself get help or go to a hospital. Take care of you.

I was totally off meds for both of my pregnancy's. I did well. I can't say that for you though because we are all so different. I had had BP for years before I was diagnosed, formally, so I had a lot of practice, acting somewhat normal. The one to talk to is your shrink. He will give you options or at the least tell you things you should expect and be ready for. I think that concentrating every single bit of my energy toward the birth of my babies was a huge help to me also. Absorb yourself in that, it will help....Good luck.

Love

Welcome. I can't identify with you completely but my boyfriend has not been on meds the whole time we've been together (hopefully tomorrow he will start) so i know how hard it can be to some extent. Hope you find comfort and help coming here
