I haven't been able to work for 2 years bc of chronic pain...

I have had jobs where I had a boss breathing down my neck and I've also worked doing real estate. I have yet to find anything where I don't have severe problems with people. No matter what I always end up feeling like I'm going nuts. I have held one job for 13 years, another for 8 and always left with lots of controversy. Even when I was working basically for myself in real estate, I still had to answer to a broker and had to have a certain amount of productivity, which I was never able to do. Anything that would be less stressful would be too stressful for my body. So I just can't win. I've even looked into working from home, but can't do that bc I have limited time on the pc. I am filing disability next month. Even at home, physically I am unable to keep up with the housework and have to have my daughter come in and clean for me.

Somedays it's not worth chewing through the restraints!

file for your disability, even with out the bipolar it sounds like you will need it, in the mean time, find yourself a hobby to keep you busy, and who knows, maybe that could turn into a side job for you...

I've been told that it's easier to get disability for a mental illness. The way my dr phrased it was, "I can say you have chonic pain, but they figure if you can make it to the dr's office you can go to work, when you have a mental disability like bipolar, you can't be sure who will come to work."

LOL lately my hobby is trying to function without being depressed or flipping out on someone.

I can say from experience. I got on disability for being bipolar. It took alot of paperwork and going to one of there doctors but I got on and it has really helped my life. They give you things like medicaid which can help with meds and you get a few more resources than were available to me before. If you have any questions feel free to pm me or just post. I promise to answer as truthfully as possible.

Hi hawker,

It's good to see you jumping right in. There are lots of great people here.

I can be a babbling bipolar, too. I am filing for diability. I am waiting for the hearing. I have a lot of back up from my pdoc. She says, I am severily mentally ill. I couldn't believe it at first. I thought functioned pretty well, even though others didn't think so..LOL.

As for the TV show? I would love to be in it. I have bipolar friends, and I love hanging out with them it's not too often, though, they tend to take off. So in the TV show, they would probably end up isolating from eachother, or going on missions together.Like to wall mart. Or they would go OCD on eachother. OMG!!

ROFLMAO!!!
