Hey, I’m Alex. I’ve been observing from afar for a while now, being more than a little shy and a bit anxious. It took a bit courage for me to post in the group Bipolar for Teens and it took me a little while longer to post here. Today seems to be a road of energy and confidence, and all else lack of concentration, but nonetheless a good day to start introductions.

I’m still on the road of self-discovery, whether mentally or trying to find a way through the awkward teenage years. I have a little less than two months before I’m eighteen, which means I’m seventeen. I do have a dr. appt. scheduled a day after my birthday - I know it sounds like fun. I might just have to hold a party there. My story is long, and it’s hard for me to share, though I am willing to try - soon. I’ve been getting to that point, that destination, that goal slowly. Sometimes I find it easier for people to ask questions than for me to tell them straight, out of the blue. It’s easier, I think, because when people ask questions it shows they have an interest in the answer, at least for a little while.

…and some posts may, at one point or another, sound scrambled. I may go back and edit it, due to the fact I can’t stand my posts looking like a squid out of water. I appreciate honest answers, and I do love meeting new people, even if I’m a bit shy at first. I love reading, writing, researching, sleeping, and chocolate. Rainy days are nice, too.

Just wanted to say hi…so hi.

Alex

PS: I did edit this…it may make more sense. ^_^

Hi Alex,

Welcome. Are you being diagnosed at your doctors office? Are you on meds yet? How are you doing in your life?

Just thought, I would invite you to share a little about yourself.

Feel free to share what ever you need to. We are all here.

God bless, Gypsy

Hi, Alex, welcome to the group, don't worry about being shy, there is nothing wrong with that, as you get to feel more comfortable here in the forums, you will be able to open up, if you need to you are more than welcome to just kinda hang out and read.. jump in when you feel like it, we have many many posts that you can join in on..

For some of us, it has taken a while to post, if you look at the number of posts that I have had, you can tell I am not shy in anyway shape or forum, and sometimes I am grateful, that all I am doing here is typing rather than talking someones ears off...lol.. boy would they get tired of hearing me talk..

We're glad you are with us, ask all the questions you would like, someone here will have a answer or experience to share with you.
