 Hi my name is mary and I live in Ohio. I have been diagnosed with bipolar disorder ADD and obsessive compulsive disorder. I recently had a really bad episode and had a few days in the hospital. I am looking for a few friends who understand because my family thinks I am pretending and my friends are trying to help, but think I just need to find something to occupy my time and everything will always be alright. i hope to get to know you all better. I am a good listener and have been told I have good advice.

 Hi Mary, and welcome to the group, I am sorry to hear that your family isn't understanding at this time, educate yourself about your illness and then you can educate them, people tend to either disbelieve or refuse to even consider that which they don't understand. I am glad to hear that your friends are sticking by you, a support system is important.. you will find lots of wonderful people here, and caring and support.
