MDJunction to me

HiddenButterfly"All I can say is that this has been the best place ever. It has been six to seven months since I joined, and I have learned so much. I now believe in myself and accept myself on a completely different level. The people on MDJunction has been so supportive and accepting that I have been able to adopt it into my personal life. That has reduced a lot of stress in my life. Thanks to all." (HiddenButterfly)

I just wanted to say good evening/morning/day to everyone who reads this. I also have just recently realized that I have Hypo mania. I know this is more of a subset of Bipolar as it is not as extreme. I never considered myself Bipolar and I am probably not textbook bipolar though like I said, I am positive I am at least Hypo manic.

I mainly joined this group to talk to other people who may have more extreme cases or even just have mild cases such as myself. I was diagnosed with ADHD as a kid and just recently found out that a MD cannot diagnose someone with ADHD, only give out medicine. Diagnosis is for a Psychiatrist. Well that is exactly what my MD did - said I had ADHD and dished out all of those appetite crushing, neurotic pills.

I am free to talk about my mindstate growing up as well as now. I also would like to say according to my birth chart, I have an optomistic astrological sign, and chinese birth year. So I believe alot of my natural exubarance is just that, natural. At the same time I can admit there is an illness categorization to go with my train of thought. I am not here to treat myself just share some thoughts and receive some.

Let me reiterate I am a naturally happy person, very much so, and yes I can be excessive, dangerously spontaneous, highly idealistic, far reaching, and individualistic to a fault.

Like I said my birth charts point to the rule of thumb of being very happy children, people, coupled with alot of those other elements I mentioned, so I need to start breaking down how much is healthy appropriate excitement, and how much is illness. Starting to get it yet??

Well that is all, I look forward to talking to whomever.

I'm an Advocate

Hi!!! good to meet you, trunetiv. I have bipolar disorder and am usually happy most of the time. Glad you are here to share. Please feel free to join in the discussions or start discussions of your own. We usually hang out in the Lounge Section in the Anyone Awake thread. Please make yourself at home...

As far as birth charts Sun sign is Aquarius, Moon is Virgo, and Ascendant is Aquarius....

Comments made by me are from my own experience and they are my opinion alone, whose intent is only to share that opinion and not to give medical advice nor discourage from seeking medical help. Medicine is best left to the professionals that is what they do.

Great, well about supporting each other. This is great!! I am loving the whole potential of being able to talk to different kinds of people. Plus, I find most 'normal' individuals (whatever that means) rather boring. very robotic. Too predictable.
