I have been away so long that I felt a re intro was appropriate for y'all to know me when I post. I am 22 and was diagnosed bp when I was 19. I was in the air force but that is no longer possible with bp. I took my meds for about three months and stoped. I ruined a great relationship by doing that and am now back on my meds for about 2 weeks and I already feel great. I also droped out of college after two semesters because of my mania. I have since got a better out look on life and am trying to get back on track. I can't have kids due to kidney disease but I have 2 great danes 1 pit bull a cat and a bunny. I love my animals and they bring a joy to my life when nothing else can and I hope to get back to school and get my vet tech degree.
BP2, PTSD, OCD
Meds: Depakote 1,000mg Seroquel 200mg Celexa 25mg

Welcome back to the group, Daisy. I am sincerely glad you are back on your meds. What a difference they make for quality of life, as you are finding out. I do hope that you are able to get on track, and it certainly sounds like you are, and get back into school to obtain the degree you are seeking. I am also glad you are surrounded by loving pets. They can bring such solace and unconditional love into our lives.

Please make yourself at home with us again and join in where you feel comfortable doing so. I look forward to seeing you posting with us again.

Welcome back Daisy. I don't know what I would have done without my faithful napping partners ( my 3 kitties) when my depression was really bad. Them being next to me and wanting to be next to me is a really big comfort!

Thanks for all of the welcomes and support. I am glad it is just as supportive as I remember it. I think the main reason my meds are helping so fast is just the fact that I can get a full nights rest as opposed to the couple of hours I get with out it.

I just joined this site to try to learn more about bipolar so I can help my husband who suffers from it. If you are ever down or anything or just need to talk, please feel free to private message me.Smile
