MDJunction to me

2steveb" In life we all have trials and tribulations to endure weather it be physical, mental or social. For me personally when i encountered MDJunction i was astounded. Since i joined MDJunction to me it has been a god send and a life saver. I have met and been able to converse freely with so many people in the same situation as myself, (that alone is a big help, to know your not alone) to be able to discuss and get good advice from a braud section of people. One of lifes hardest things is to discuss personal issues with friends/family and yet the mdj family is non judgmental and you will be made totally welcome to talk through any issue thats on your mind. There are forums for every known issue to mankind, to me MDJ.com has become my family extension, id be lost without these good people and the extremely good guide lines that group leaders help us all with to keep threads topical and friendly." Hi I am new to this group,

My husband has recently found out he was Bi-polar after being misdiagnosed with ADD, he also has PTSD and he suffered a very emotional, mental, physical abusive childhood, he has had a rough life.

I love him very much and I help him anyway I can.

He has rapid mood swings, he's angry one minute, hopeless the next, and extremely happy the next

He doesnt do anything with his life , he is a very wonderful person, but he tells me he is constantly going through stages, I need help on how to understand him and what do I need to do for him and need to understnad what he is going through so I will no what to do without offending him. He told me today that he would be a good person but his mind stops him from achieving any goals.

What can I do to help him set goals

Thank you

You can help him with setting down a short list of rules. This would be for him to read later when he's not responding as a rational person he can be. Then choose several small attainable goals. When reached, set up some more perhaps some more difficult, but still within reach and the desire and need to find a completed goal will encourage him even more. Knowing you are there to help him reach these goals will be the best thing he could ever ask for. I hope this helps in some way,
