I went to my city council meeting last night. I read my speech & complained about the person while he was standing to the left of me. I was so proud of myself with all my educated collected knowledge. I look over & he just acts like he isn't listening..And so the parts that I want him to hear I say 'I hope you are listening and getting these parts' LMAO. Like the parts that when he said I couldn't use Harassment, it was only annoying. I said the lawyer seemed to think it was a little more than annoying..It is a crime, and I could have pressed charges...I mentioned that the behavior stopped and told them my husband ended up going with me to talk to the parent..They said that I had my methods flip flopped. I shouldn't have went to police first. I told them I didn't feel comfortable going to parent because of a grandparent cursing me out last summer becuase I couldnt ever go to parent because she was never home. And the grand parent said my daughter needed to learn how to deal with boys...and I didnt get the reaction I expected and feared from the mother like I got out of the grand parent?Soooo, anyway....I knew I wasn't going to change anything...I just wanted to let the chief know that I am better educated & I am not stupid like he thought I was.. And one of the grand parents of the boy is on the city council and he got to hear my story with no names being used of course but I could imagine by the age being used and the boys pretty much being our only teenage neighbors he got who they were HAHA..I was kinda nervous but I was proud of myself for following thru..I didn't even cry YAY me!!!!!I just wanted to let everyone know that had supported me thru this know that I did follow thru and I officially have my assertiveness badge

If anyone comes across this and is confused I have a topic about this subject in my profile under harassment...

Good for you!!!! I am so glad you stood your ground. {{{HUG}}}}}

I once put a lien on a whole city block in Mobile, Alabama because someone wouldn't pay me for moulding they had bought and installed in a building. They owned the whole block and it was a huge corporation.

Had an attorney call me and say i couldn't do that...my reply was "Well, I did." He said "Lady you are crazy!! My reply "You are damned right!!" Got my check next day air...being assertive in positive ways is healthy. Congratulations to you, Amber.

Gypsy!Don't be nervous!Well, its normal to be a lil nervous but?I'm liking this whole assertiveness thing!I went to the Dr. today & she asked me how my meds were working & how the decrease in Zoloft was working. I told her I thought it was working okay. Ever since my meds have been working I have been very passionate about the way I am treated. I am a very sincere person & I would do ANYTHING for anyone that is nice to me & treats me good. But, for someone to treat me badly that doesn't even know me, and to run into rude people at Dr. office I have no tolerance for anymore and I just lash back out at them and I give them pieces of my mind!LOL...She said that its normal, I am not being treated like garbage anymore..Wanting to get a gun out and shoot them isn't so if i ever feel like that I need to tell her LOL...But the way I am feeling is normal. And I am doing good by being assertive

Carmen, Nope, that was the end of it..I just gave them a piece of my mind. I hope that they get spankin's behind closed doors?Who knows...My story will be in tomorrows paper, I can't wait HAHA..I was nervous at first to rehash the events in public but now i really dont care....HAHA..

Amber - YAY!!!!!! I'm thrilled for you! They say (whoever "they" are....) that you can't fight city hall. I guess they were wrong!!!!! It must have felt great to put it right in their faces the way you did!!!!

Thank you Ladies,

Amber, speaking of strangers. I have these neighbors next door, that have to have their life completely perfect. They have a perfect lawn, and never play on it. Their kids never come out of their house, and play.

They built a fence that separates our yard from theirs. We have been cleaning out our house and yard, and piled all the garbage on ourside so it would be ready to load into a truck, so we could take it to the dump.

I know, I am rambling. Well they come over, and look in our yard, and walk away aparently angry...LOL The wife comes over, and tells me in an angry voice, that they want to stain the fence, and that they can't do it with our junk in the way. I told her it would be gone today.

They walk away angry. I mean really irate. My fiance pulls up, and I tell him what happened, and he goes over to talk to them.

They yell at him, and tell him we have trashed the whole neighborhood, and we should be ashamed of ourselves.....LOL

Just because we were cleaning out our yard?? Geez!! Now they scowl at us when they drive by. NMy fiance have thought of doing things to piss them off, LOL Like taking our garbage out and accidently dropping some on their lawn. My fiance thought of spraying some chemical on their lawn that would kill their grass, and writing foul words on it.

We would never do that. My main reaction was, that they have no idea where we came from. It's their anger, and bitterness, that they are sitting in, and I would not want their life. It also helps me feel grateful for the life, I have.

God Bless,Gypsy

Hey Gypsy, they are not worth getting in trouble with the law over, their perfect little life must not be so perfect with them being like this, have encountered people like that before, and you know what? I ignored them..lol, not worth the energy.. I feel sorry for the kids most of all, their living in a trap, never getting to play outside, getting to get dirty, etc.. one day their lives will fall apart on them, and their little perfect world will come crumbling down..

My story was not in the paper today, I was so PEE'VD ARGH!!!!I am going to take a typed copy & pay for it to be in next weeks paper. A letter to the editor I guess is what they call it?I'm not sure if they didn't put it in there because it was hand written or what? The copy I gave the news reporter was typed..Not sure if it is going to be in next weeks or what, I'm asking tho!!I ran up to the store to buy a copy. I was going to buy like 5 copies for friends and family LOL. And my friend that works at the gas station said, you better make sure its in there before you buy so many copies HAHA..I am glad I did, I would have been mad LOL...OH WELL!

Love Ya Guys,

Hugs,

Amber
