Gypsy... I WAS going to say write a list of your issues with the "care" you're getting, but then I saw Norma's post, so I'll just say "I second that motion!!!" BUT, I would read it TO him instead of letting him read it himself. He seems like the type that might skip a few of your points and just skim through it. You have really valid concerns so he needs to sit there and listen to every single word!!!! (And I'd probably read it REALLY SLOWLY, just for satisfaction - but that's just me! LOL)

Thanks Kimmie, that is a great idea to read it to him...sloooowly...

Here is another suggestion, Gypsy. Tape the session with your doc. I used to tape all of mine...it helped a lot. Sometimes I would play the tape back when I was quiet and hear things that I just had missed. Doctor's appointments are so important when you think about it. It is just a few minutes of time to give and get essential information. My doctor kept a tape of all our sessions. Hope this helps...a good rapport with the doctor is so important for your well-being.

Thank you those are good ideas. I think, I am going to write all of my issues down. I am afaraid, I will get intimidated, and let him run over me, again. If, I write it down, I can read it to him.

One friend of mine said to me one time, when, I was in a similar situation, " They can't eat you!!" I guess the worst thing that could happen is, I would have to get a new Pdoc....LOL

God Bless,Gypsy

Gypsy, I just remembered something from a doctor's visit. I would sit there for 45 minutes and just talk away and the doctor would doodle and make few if any comments. Finally, I got mad and said "Are you going to talk back?? I need some interaction here!" I expected him to get mad...you know what he said "Well, now we are getting somewhere, you are getting better, you are fighting back." I was floored!!! From then on he talked too, he just was waiting for me to say something. He told me that getting angry and fighting back is normal (Hello! I had no clue what normal is). So you go get em....and stand up for yourself...{{hugs}}}
