Hello there. I wanted to ask about medications you can buy from foreign countries. You know, the countries that don't need any prescriptions to get them filled. I have been without insurance or a job for a while. I just recently got hired at a new job and I'm feeling pretty good. The only thing I'm concerned on is I have gone years without being on meds and with the problems I had recently, I decided to sale a bunch of personal items I had on ebay and have been able to buy all the medications I used to take that was prescribed from a bi-polar doctar I had a few years back. I'm taking the same amount of milligrams I was prescribed a few years back, and I have been on them for about 10 days now. -2100mg. lithium, and 2 serequels and 2 Prozac a day. The serequel is starting to work great and I know the lithium and the prozac will kick in full force in about 2 more weeks. My question is even though I'm feeling much better and these medications are from a government run pharmacy out of India, has anybody heard any horrors stories of unknown side effects by doing this? They don't sale pills that get you high like painkillers or sleeping aids or anything like that, but for mental health they dont require a perscription in India. My new job will have insurance after 1 month of employment and I can go back to the same brand of my medications I used to take when it kicks in. In the mean time, I'm ordering generic pills of these same products from India. I feel more stable and happier but I just don't want to find in 2 months that I've grown a third ear. Anybody heard of any negative reviews from fellow people that have tried doing this? Thanks for your help!

Hi, Be careful...and watch the lithium...blood levels should be monitored...glad you are feeling better...the foreign meds do not have to meet requirements for purity or strength...you are smart...just take care, my friend...

Thanks Norma. I wasn't aware about the purity and strength factor. I had blood work drawn Friday and the results were .9 which they said was good. I have to have it checked again this upcomming friday. Thanks for the information.
