I'm a divorced, retired civil servant. I have been aware of the bipolar in my family for years and now I know I am too. I also have genital herpes. I have not had a outbreak in a couple of years. I though I was ok and could not infect anyone else unless the blisters were present. Last night I went on my first date in many years after the divorce. I have known this man for a few months and last night we had unprotected sex. I had forgotten about the herpes and told him I was sorry but I had to tell him something serious. Now he is afraid and worried about it. I think I might loose a friend and a lover. I looked it up online and learned how wrong I was about the infection rate. I feel horrible and don't know how to help him feel less fear. He's very fearful and is really getting worried about it. Anyone else had the same thing? I feel sick with regret and loss. gingrr |
