MDJunction to me

ITeach91"MD Junction has been a lifeline to me. The support and information I receive from group members is so important for me to maintain a good quality of life. I struggled with a diagnosis of adrenal insufficiency and did not know where to turn, but then I found MD and it has been one of the most important tools to help me to enjoy my life and stay as healthy as possible. We really are stronger together than we could ever be alone." (ITeach91)

Roy has sent the following announcement:

First of all - No one is banishing god or religion! not any specific god and not any specific religion... and that is the point.

People come to MDJunction to deal with their health issues and challenges regardless if they are Christians, Jews, Muslims or any other religion. i believe we have people from almost every known religion!

religion, faith & god are the #1 cause for wars throughout history and i don't want them to interfere with the help people could get on here & basically i am not qualified to deal with it...

there are numerous sites and forums for religious talks and discussions and in fact i know a group of our leaders are very active in one of the Christian sites but they keep those discussions away from MDJunction.

You can love classic music and the LA Lakers at the same time, it doesn't mean you're going TO HAVE to wear the yellow/purple outfit (with a whistle in your mouth) to a classic music show.

it's OK to say thanks to your god, it is ok to say god helped you BUT making it all you do on most of your posts starting discussions on how Jesus, Moses, Mohammad are the way to healing - PROHIBITED.

My goal is to protect MDJunction as a comfort zone and by setting these rules i believe i'm doing that.

best,

roy

On another note, if you have not already, please take time to read his policy on suicide discussions. It is critical that all read it.

Thank you for this reminder, uppity.

Can you tell me how to get to all of Roy's policies?

I did not find them at the FAQs.

There isn't a particular section for that, but at the top of the postings you'll see posts that have push pins. Those are "sticky" ones that stay there all the time. The one that is important is the suicide one that Roy posted. The others are very helpful, too. They give guidelines for each forum.

Good Day and hello, it's been a long time uppity!

I believe that Roy's new ruling on the use of God, Allah, Mohamad, etc. being the answer to your physical problems is appropriate.

We all have a greater power that we worship, but we should not indicate that all it takes is to 'let go and let God.'

This site is here for us to share information on our illnesses, to vent about our frustrations in connection with our illnesses, and to ask for help in connection with our illnesses.

Those who use the site to promote their own religious itineraries are wasting the time of the people who come to this site for physical reasons.

I think Roy's decision is right on point!

Regards to all!

Linda

Thanks Roy for that. Where do I find the discussion on suicide talks? Looks like I need to be more aware of what I'm posting. I'll be sure to read it and follow the guidelines set. Thanks again. T.

Roy,

I totally agree with your statement,

"religion, faith & god are the #1 cause for wars throughout history"

I'm from a third world country and I have seen the worst of it here.
