I am a complusive list maker. I will make a list of everything that needs to be done over say a month. Then, I break it down by weeks, then days. I have so many stupid lists I can't keep track of them all. I even have lists of things I do not want to forget, but what I really need is a list of birthdays. I can never remember them. When we travel, I make lists of items to pack. I think I have a problem

My brother uses what I believe is a palm pilot, he has MS and it has taken his short term memory, if you want him to remember something you have to make sure he puts it in there, otherwise forget it, we have taken to calling it his brain, his biggest challenge is putting it in his back pocket and sitting on it..lol..he downloads all the information on to his computer each evening in case he breaks his brain. He buys them off ebay so he doesn't pay all that much for them.

The thing has a alarm, that alerts him of the time something has been scheduled to do.. like take meds, etc.. he puts all bills in envelopes and they stay near his computer, so that he sees them everyday, and then the first of the month he writes checks and mails them when the money is in the bank from his disability, he has everything down to a system, certain times during the day he does things, etc.. I was telling him the other day he has developed OCD, and he admitted it, but he also recognizes it is the only way he can keep things on track, like his nap, don't bother him between the hours of 2 and 4 as he is down for his nap.

He gets up between two and four in the morning, uses the restroom, makes coffee, turns on the computer, and then checks his emails. By the time the sun comes up, he has had his 2nd cup of coffee, smoked a cig, and the dogs are taken outside for their morning duties..lol.. sometime after this, the dishes from dinner are done up, the rest of the kitchen is cleaned, and then he does his three S's.. after that more coffee and he is at Mom's by 9AM.. he see's her at 9, 12, and 2, then it is down for a nap and after that it is time to fix dinner if it is his day to cook.
