MDJunction to me

Sylvia4648"I have suffered from depression most of my life, but had some long, non-depressed times. The last 16 years have been an on-going, constantly worsening nightmare for me medically, socially and with my family. 11/2008 to the present has been the worst time in my life, and new things just keep piling up. During that time I’ve gone from being mostly homebound to being totally homebound due to the errors of about 2 dozen doctors who overmedicated me so badly that I came home w/ 4 conditions I didn’t go in with. I spent months wanting to die, and finding MDJ may well have saved my life. It’s one of the worst feelings to know that nobody on earth needs you for anything; but now that I’ve been a group leader for awhile, there are people here who need me. Thanks MDJ." (Sylvia4648)

Here i sit at work and am completely unable to function or be productive. I feel....nothing! It is even a struggle to type these few words. Going for a smoke even feels as if it is such a difficult and labouring task. My work is behind due to my two week hospital stay and I need to do some serious catch up,but......nothing!!!!

Focus on getting one thing done. It sounds like you are over whelmed with your work. Just focus on getting one thing done within the next half hour. Make a list if you think that would help. Take some deep breathes and tell yourself that you can do this.... because you can!!!

Are you getting over a depression? Take it one thing and one day at a time. Don't look at the big picture because you will just get overwhelmed. You can do it just remember how strong you are. You have to be strong to deal with being bipolar.

Muggins, it always helps me to make a list of things to do, and then like April said do one thing at a time. Crossing that item off the list feels good...

I also tell myself if I finish X, I will treat myself to a coffee today, or buy lunch out instead of eating a sandwich from home. Sometimes bribing myself helps too.

BP I
What one man can do, another can do - The Edge.

Lithium 900 mg
Seroquel (tapering off)
Ativan 1-2 mg
Propranolol 80 mg for performance anxiety
Ritalin 10-20 mg as needed

Well yesterday afternoon after my sad and dreary post - suddenly I was on fire!! Just going insane getting things done and having a blast - I guess that would have something to do with being a rapid cycler.

Thank you so much for all your advice - I am feeling more stable this morning, so lets see what this day brings. Thank Goodness It's Friday!!!!

Thanks for sharing. I get so overwhelmed that I walk and pace like a lion as the thoughts race so fast that a Jaguar couldn't keep track of them.

It does get better. Why don't you take a few Klonopin. It helps me lots when I get that way.

Cheer up, darling, you are not alone.

Lamictal 150 mg twice a day
Geodone 180 mg. at bed time
Klonopin as needed or 2 mg. 3 X per day
Benadryl 2 doses of 50 mg. bed time
Ambien 2 doses 10 mg. at bed time

Lorazapam as needed or twice a day
