It all seems so clear now.

I just realized that, prior to joining this web site today, I have not once had a discussion with another Bipolar about this illness. Yet, I have months of sobriety from Alcoholism under my belt, in large part because of the fellowship of AA.

Why didn't it occur to me that connecting with people that are Bipolar would help me in the way that connecting with other Alcoholics has?

I'm going through a very rough time. I've been hiding my head in that sand about being Bipolar for over six months now and I'm crashing and burning here. I guess all I'm saying is that I'm glad to be here and I feel suddenly more hopeful for it.

I am glad you are here too. I was diagnosed six years ago, and I just joined about thirty minutes ago. It is nice to be able to relate to other people. We all have a desire to be loved, accepted, and understood. Many can love and accept us, but do not understand us. It is sometimes hard to understand what you haven't experienced. That's why it is good to be able to share your experiences with others that can truly understand what you are going through. I think this forum is going to be a blessing for me too.
