Klmimi, tell your doctor everything that is happening with you, ASAP. Use a journal to take notes and show the doctor. There are medication combinations out there that can help with the rapid cycling. My wife has even ultra rapid cycled and mixed. She has gone from one state at one end of the spectrum to another state at the other end of the spectrum every few miniutes. Took her 7 years of trial and error to find the right cocktail. She is on a good med regiment now with regular tweaks, she has been stable for approx a year now. Just recently she began cycling again, every few days and the doc made another adjustment. Waiting to see the outcome.

Keep us updated on how you are doing.

GOD BLESS

RED

Hi Kimimi,

I have bipolar 1 with ultra rapid cycling. I can cycle in one day.

I have been on meds for a year. I also agree that journaling, and taking a daily journal of how you feel, and your moods helps. That will show your moods. I watch my moods through the day or week, and try to see what, I react to the most. This helps me with knowing when, I need a med adjustment, too. If the weather is a trigger, I can add something to help me through the winter. I was going through a really rough time this last year and I was able to have my pdoc help me through that. If my meds arent working, I can get an increase. Therapy really helps, too. I just had my meds increased. I was still cycling on the dose I was on.

Are you on meds? have you been to the pdoc?

God Bless,Gypsy

I hope you find your answer. Just want to tell you that I am happy that you are trying. My girlfriend refuses to admit anything wrong, and will never have a chance at a normal relationship.

I wish the best for you.

Hello, I cycle rapily as well. Keeping a journal absolutly helps. Sometimes when I am having problems it is hard for me to collcet my thought cause there are too many. I can just take my journal in and show my doc how I was feeling and he knows better how to help me and sees that my life is affected durring this. Made a big difference when adjusting meds in the past. I have been off meds and am about to start again. I will absolutely be keeping a meds journal again. Good luck, it wiil get easier. This group is amazing and the more you learn the better you will understand what to do. Hugs hun

The sleep is probably what is affecting your cycling, it does me. If you are having problems see if you can get an earlier appoinment. See if they will fit you in where there is a cancellation. If you continue to have problems and can't geet an appointment then call the doc and see if he can call in an adjustment or recommend something to help you sleep. I would go to the hospital if things get really bad. Take care of you.
