 Hi, Crig, good to see you posting again, there are a lot of threads dealing with this, you can look in the upper right hand corner of any page you are on here on the group, type in bipolar 1 and bipolar 2, and it will pull them up for you, also you can go online and type in difference between bipolar 1 and bipolar 2, this will bring up many sites for you to read, for me the main thing I have always thought was the difference between them was the high of the mania, but listening to others talking there are a lot more overlapping symptoms than what I first believed there were.

 Hi Crig,

I think the difference between the two are Bipolar 1, you have to have 2 or more episodes of mania in your life time.

Bipolar two has depression, and hypomania, and mixed mania.

Bipolar ! has the mania, and all the other symptoms, too.

Both types, can have rapid cycling, too.
