This is sort of scary and sad, but i recently watched a DATELINE episode on PBS on Bipolar and researchers have proved that many people with BP lose 1 point of their IQ with each manic episode. I would like to research more as my husband is so forgetful now after 4 years it is like I have a parent with dementia living with me.

I know, I forget things, I said or did while in a manic episode. I also forget what, I heard in therapy, and homework that my therapist gave me.

Now, on meds, my memory is shot.I get really spacey, and have to work to remember all that, I need to do during the day. My brain is exhausted after having to think so much. When, I am having racing thoughts it is really hard to focus, and listen, too.

God Bless,Gypsy

Notes and more notes, sometimes I get that way too, hard to remember all that must be done, I've learned to forgive myself if I forget something, I concentrate on taking care of the bills, making sure the rent is paid the electric is paid, etc, which hubby doesn't make it easier by not putting the bills all in one place, lol, nothing like getting a disconnect notice and you find the first bill buried under a ton of other stuff..

gypsy, I call it when my brain is exhausted, it's turned to runny oatmeal, that is when I know it is time to sleep, and let it recover.
