I was wondering does anyone take or have taken hydroxzypam...it's a sleep aid that the pdoc gave me. the first few nights it worked great but I seem to be a night owl so now it's like it's lost it kick.

I see pdoc the 20th and I see my therapist the same day...please don't ask how i got that worked out without trying. I was so up and down the days that I went to them it wasn't even funny.

well just wanted to ask about the med if anyone had the same affect with it that i'm having.

thanks

The voice inside my head doesn't like you either!

My journey to the grave will not be with an attractive well preserved body, I will skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand and wine in the other totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO WHAT A RIDE"

Too often, we lose sight of life's simple pleasures.
Remember, when someone annoys you it takes 42 muscles in you face to frown.
BUT, it only takes 4 muscles to extend your arm and bitch-slap that mother@#?!&! upside the head....ha ha

You have to love it.Cause you know we've all thought it.

Can't say I have had that problem, as I haven't taken it, but make sure you let your doctor know what is up with it, and congrats on landing your appointments on the same day, having to try and do that myself, as I can't afford to be off the job a lot..

My sleep meds never seem to work properly. I don't know why, but I'm going to talk to the doc about it Thursday. Good luck with it!!!

Oh by the way, did you see 60 minutes last night? They talked about sleep and how important it was to get enough. It's scary to think that so many of us don't get enough and really aren't cognitively awake. I feel like I stay in that "daze" all the time.

They said that if you get less than 7 1/2 hours, you haven't had enough. 8-10 hours is the normal amount. I never seem to get that much.

I guess we will all have to make a "conscious" effort to take our meds at the right time and go to bed at the right time. I guess we also need to report immediately if our meds don't work. It's so hard to keep up with when you are sleep-deprived though!
