Neysa, if your hubby was to slap your newborn do you think that would be considered abuse? a beating? if you don't believe so, you should not be having this baby.. sorry if this sounds harsh, but honey if he will do this to you, he will do this to your child.. What is this stuff about getting away for a few days? are you planning on living like this for the rest of your life? Get out and get out now, he has slapped you, verbally and mentally abused you.. it's only a matter of time now before he starts literally beating the shit out of you.. Go to the nearest woman's shelter, tell them what you have told us here about the verbal abuse, the slapping, etc.. they will get you the help you need to get out of there and stay out of there... you do not need to live like this anylonger, nor do you need to subject your child to it.
