Anyone else have absolutely no interest in sex? Ever since I started taking Celexa (about 10 years ago) my libido has vanished. I thought you were supposed to be really horny if you were BP.

Omg I wish I still had my sex drive! My meds have made that a distant memory unless I am manic. I used to be a nympho. Lol

I haven't wanted sex in years. I see you're on Celexa too. That's gotta be it!

You don't have to live with the depresed libido....try switching the celexa out for something else. Wellbutrin doesn't take mine away....

I'm taking paxil and that totally rid me of my sex drive. I used to want sex 3 or more times a day. I've tried every other anti-depressant and paxil seems to be the only thing that works well for my anxiety and depression.

Wow. No drug has ever been able to touch my over-amped libido. Talk to your prescribing doctors. It's too important. I've read that drugs can affect it and I wouldn't put up with it. Life is too short.

I lost my interest in sex and it has effected my relationships... I am afraid that I will end up alone because I can't stand to have sex anymore... it is so frustrating not enjoy sex, because I really want to have a sex life! I want to satisfy my man... but the reality of the situation... that whoever I'm with must be able to go without sex for a long time unless I get drunk... I can have sex drunk... but I hate to drink so that won't be often... Damn this BP!

yup, it's the celexa. everytime i decide i don't need it and come off it, i want sex. then i go back on and can't be bothered. it's horrible to have to explain to the boyfriend that i fancy him, i just don't feel like doing anything. ever. even on my own. sometimes it feels like he's my friend more than my lover

SSRI's take away the sex drive in many people. i have a friend on celexa and she doesnt enjoy sex much at all. when i was on zoloft, i wanted sex, but i couldn't enjoy it the way i wanted to so i just stopped it. by itself, they make me hypomanic but then what fun is hypomania without the sex? but like aforementioned, if u can try a different type of anti depressant like wellbutrin. my sex drives all night like a trucker lol. one of the few good things about bp is the crazy sex drive. with all the ups and downs i get, i better have some enjoyment and no matter what i feel like sex is the best.

I got a script for Wellbutrin today! Woohoo!
