Does anyone else feel they are on the planet for some critical and extremely important mission, which is yet to be divulged to them? When I am in a positive mood I am driven mad by an overwhelming force in my head that keeps me coming up with hair brain schemes and ideas for recognition in the wider world, that at some point I will be famous, but not necessarily because of something good. Most pertinent of all is the dsire to write a book which will spark social change. I have read somewhaere that this is quite common with bipolarity, that a sense of invisibilty or some 'special' quality is inherent in us and needs to be fostered. It drives me balmy!!

I know you seem to be having a problem with it, but here is from someone who has never felt that. Can you imagine what you could do with that if you could chanel it into one direction and really do something like that. A book is not impossible and you know if you just reach one person isn't that good.

I believe that we all have that drive in us. our dreams thats what we were are intended to do. at some point in our lives we are not only to grow and change ourselves but to help change others i believe that is Gods will for us. we cant change his will so inside of you that grows and at some point you will give life to your dreams and let them ignite the world and thats beautiful...be blessed :~dragonfly

Who is to say where dreams are not realistic, certainly not me. If you have a dream and it does not include jumping off the roof and flying...but, is one in which you can invest your time and heart...go for it...I think we are all here for a purpose...the great authors, inventors, poets, all dreamed....maybe "we are the stuff that dreams are made of"...sorry, Willie, stealing your line...GO FOR IT!!!

Hey there, Sarah,

I have had all sorts of dreams. Some of them, I have accomplished. When, i was younger, before, i had kids, I travelled with hippies, who were into political change, enviromental, and spiritual, change.

I really enjoyed it. I think we all have something give to the world. We have a message to carry. There are all kinds of organizations, like NAMI, and NIMH, whose missions are to help educate people about mental illness, an help break the stigma. There lots of successful people who have mental illnesses who have carried a message, too. I have looked up famous people online, and they have a huge list of people on it.

We need more people who want to contribute to our healing, and education.

So, keep dreaming. Bipolars are known to be very intellegant, creative, and resourceful people.

God Bless,Gypsy
