Bipolar Support Group

Hello all,

I am on seroquel and lamictal and have been feeling good. I have been stable since last August, so almost a year now YAY! Is anyone else out there happy with lamictal and seroquel?

Yeap Mariel here is another very happy vegemite on 250mgs of Lamical in the am. Then 300mgs of Serquel at about 8:00PM followed by 50mgs about an hour before bed.

Oh, I have Bipolar Mixed states. What type do you have?

What are bipolar mixed states? I believe last year when I was flipping out I had one. I was very depressed and crying and having racing thoughts. I would wake up and my brain was going a mile a minute.

i take serguial for sleep.

I take Lamictal, I took Seroquel for 3 years but it made my heart race so I had to get off it. I loved it though. I love my Lamictal it's keeping me stable. I still have mood swings but their manageable.

I take Seroguel, 400mg, and am happy with it. The only thing I don't like about it is that after I take it I get the munchies and want to eat. But I usually am happy with a few low fat crackers so I haven't gained weight. I am really happy with the way it has kept my moods stable and it even acts like an antidepressant for me. And it knocks me out at night and makes me sleep, I would not sleep at all without it. So, yes I would say I am happy with it. I couldn't take lamictal, however, it gave me horrible headaches, migraine like in severity.

i wouldnt trade my lamictal and seroquel for anything and believe me i've tried just about all of them. i also take lexapro for depression cuz the seroquel doesnt work so well for that, but overall i have been more stable in the last 6 months than i have in years.....................

I am on seroquel and lamictal and I am very stable now. I love it! I am so free now thanks to my medications. I als take effexor, i think its a great combination!

i take seroquel it work wonders for my acute mania. and for sleep anlong/lithum

I am very happy with the Lamictal 300 mg/Seroquel 100 mg. combination. I was not introduced to Seroquel until I switched psychiatrists. I am less aware of my cycles changing. I have rapid cycles. I have energy to get through the entire day and take care of responsibilities. If for some reason I am unable to take Seroquel at night, I cannot sleep at all. I don't particularly like being dependent on a drug to sleep, but it is worth it.
