I remember vaguely reading something about a link between these two in Dr Jim Phelps' book, "Why Am

I Still Depressed?" awhile back. I don't have PCOS,

but was wondering if anybody here knew anything

about it. Thanks for any input.

Intresting. I am very intrested in this topic. I have PCOS and hypothyroidism. I have never been diagnosed with a mental illness since I am too afraid to ask. I know that I have severe depression. I am only 26. I had severe postpartum depression too. My mother has never been diagnosed or treated properly, but I am 100% sure that she has PCOS and bi polar disorder. Please let me know if you come up with any research or info on this subject. I would love to help alleviate some of the things that I feel.

Hi Nesya...pick up a copy of Jim Phelps'book "Why Am I Still Depressed?" It

is available at Amazon.com and is about Bipolar 2. There is a discussion

in there that seems to suggest a connection between Bipolar and PCOS. I

am looking for some more information on this topic too. If anyone can help

please post.

Hey Ladies, I have read that information on Dr. Phelps website, it's a readers digest version of his book, you will see a link under my tag line, it's to his site.. you can also just type in the words, PCOS and bipolar and see what you come up with for sites.

I found another way to that link...go to the above site, put PCOS and

Bipolar into the search box, making sure you have Entire Site checked.

It is the 2nd result.
