Oh man I knew it, I knew it, I knew it. I said to someone just last night after my post to, ?????, that I had perhaps taken the wrong approach with someone". I was right. I am just dithered as to what my next move should be. Say I'm sorry??? I'm not. Ask to be forgiven??? I can't....I am what I am what I am. However........beyond the topic that started my rampage. ?????, I am so very sorry for what is happeneing in your life. If I could take all the pain in this old world away from you I would. I think at times, I think "everyone" has my experience with "ugly". THEN I resent you for not using that knowledge. ( OK now I REALLY sound Crazy) lol I forget that the age of most of you really precludes any possibility of a lot of life experience. Bless your innocense and your belief that your horrors are somehow unique. I have seen and lived your horrors...yep, about every damned one of em. AND, when I see that you are floundering..I want to make you see....I HAVE to make you see...through my eyes. I will try to start picking up all those apples that spilled off when I tipped the cart.

Love,

Gloria

Dear Gloria, I am 58 years old. I was diagnosed in my early 20's in the good old Thorazine, mellaril, stelazine, days. Yep, I am old, though sometimes I feel older than others. I have read a lot of your posts and I think that you have a good heart. Unfortunately, you express yourself in a way that might make others uncomfortable. I truly think you just want the best for them and you want to get your point across.

It is difficult to read posts of people who are younger and see the dangers that await them. But, old girl, isn't that the way we learned? By making mistakes and learning from them. I don't know about you but, when I was younger I didn't listen to a lot of people. Looking back I remember what they said, and now find myself saying the same things.

Don't beat yourself up too much. I love ya, you grouchy old gal. Just might want to go a little easier on the younguns. (((Hugs))) NORMA

58 eh???? Hell girl, you ARE old!!! (58 here too) lolol I know I can be too "up in your face!!!"!!! But, usually not until I've already done it. I think you had one strong advantage in life though...You had those people who offered you their experience as a guide. I never did. So I guess I don't really know how to give what I never got. I had to learn alone what worked and what didn't, who was true and who was false, what hurt real bad, and what to do when it did. I guess by having that guide, I would have at least had a source to look back at and not been totally destroyed by the complete new knowledge. I want so badly to keep these young people from being destroyed!

Love

Gloria

Yep, remember the ice age, dinasours, and Noah waiving me aboard the Ark. Life experience is what makes us grow. Some experiences are harder than others. And here is the hard part: you can tell some people, don't touch that stove, it's hot. Dagnabit, they are going to be some that go ahead and put their hand on that hot stove anyway.

What I am hearing is that you feel helpless to prevent young people from making mistakes. I think you care a lot for people and that is an admirable trait.

bY the way one of my favorite songs is YOUNG AT HEART.

Remember it "Fairy tales can come true, it can happen to you, if you're young at heart, and life gets more exciting with each passing day....love is either in your heart or on it's way, don't know that it's worth every treasure on earth to be young at heart."

I wish you peace and happiness in your heart, Gloria.

Gloria,

I'm sorry to hear that you never had anyone to help you along the way. From your words, I have gathered that you are a very strong woman. We all need someone to help us along the way, and I'm glad that you've made it here. Maybe, instead of trying to help everyone else, is there something we can help YOU with? I know what it's like to take care of the whole world and forget that you need it, too...what can WE do for YOU?

With much respect and big (((Hugs)))

And just so you know, you'd be surprised at the life knowledge one CAN attain in a short 30 years...
